AlwaysOnline Wireless (operated by Otono Networks) twill be expanding its global LTE-exclusive network for iPad with Apple SIM into 14 new countries, bringing the total number of countries covered to 88. The new countries are Armenia, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bermuda, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Ecuador, Georgia, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Jordan, Morocco, and Uruguay.
AlwaysOnline Wireless (AOW) offers short-term, on-demand LTE data plans for iPad users with an Apple SIM. Not only are AOW plans now available in more places worldwide, but plan pricing has also dropped by over 40% for most plans, says Emir Aboulhosn, CEO and founder of Otono. For a full list of countries and rate plans, click here.
AOW is available to both international travelers and domestic users in select countries for as little as 11 cents per hour. AOW also offers a variety of plans for longer trips or heavy data users, like the 5GB plan valid for 30 days. Customers can buy a plan on their iPad with an embedded Apple SIM or an Apple SIM card in the tray. On iPad, users go to Settings > Cellular Data > Set Up Cellular Data, select AlwaysOnline, and choose the plan that meets their needs.
The Apple SIM is compatible with the newly announced iPad, iPad Pro, and iPad mini 4 as well as iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3. The 9.7-inch iPad Pro Wi-Fi + Cellular model features a built-in Apple SIM, and in some countries, iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular models come pre-installed with the Apple SIM. The Apple SIM is also available at select Apple Stores.
