Analyst reiterates claim that only the highest-end iPhone 15 will sport a periscope lens

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo tweets again that only the highest-end model of the iPhone 15 line-up (the “15 Pro Max” or “15 Ultra,” depending on Apple’s naming scheme) will adopt the periscope camera.

Periscope lenses allow for greater optical zoom by bouncing light inside the phone off a mirror before passing it through another smaller lens which can be moved closer and further away from the sensor, amplifying the light even more.

Other rumors about the iPhone 15 Pro Max (or iPhone 15 Ultra):

° Its volume button and power button will adopt a solid-state button design (similar to the home button design of iPhone 7/8/SE2 and 3) to replace the physical/mechanical button design.

° It will sport an increased 8GB of RAM, a USB-C port, and multiple camera improvements.
