Amazon Instant Video app may be coming to tvOS soon

Now here’s a reason for me to consider a new fourth-generation Apple TV. Amazon Instant Video is coming to tvOS in a few weeks, according to engineer Dan Bostonweeks, who tweeted yesterday about sending feedback to Amazon via the Amazon Instant Video iOS app and getting a response about Apple TV support:

There had been a lot of speculation that Amazon was deliberately blocking Amazon Instant Video on Apple TV as the little Apple video streamer is a direct competitor to the Fire streaming devices. Apparently that’s not the case. However, Amazon still refuses to sell any Apple TV devices in its online store.
