Activ5 launches its smart fitness device at Apple retail stores today

The Apple Watch and iPhone have given us a pretty good incentive to pick up our daily activity, but Apple seemingly forgot about strength training. Fortunately, Activ5 created a small, portable isometric exercise device that works with Apple HealthKit and gives gadget geeks the chance to build up muscle tone and strength while tracking progress. Starting today, Apple fans can visit an Apple retail store to try out the Activ5 smart fitness device.

Wondering how a small device can provide enough effort to give a workout that even Pittsburgh Steelers players are using it? Check out this explanatory video:

If you happen to be in Chicago today, you can visit the Apple Michigan Avenue store to see a demo by the Activ5 team today. San Diego residents can go to Apple UTC for a similar demo…or you can visit most Apple retail stores and try one out for yourself.

Prefer to try one out sight unseen? You can also order an Activ5 at Apple.com.
