About the ad blocks…

You’ve probably noticed something on the AWT home page today; several blocks where ads will appear. Due to slow sales of sponsorships and a need to make enough money to survive, we’ll be selling ad space on Apple World Today.

Don’t worry, you’re not going to get those “1 weird trick to reduce belly fat” ads. We hold the keys and will reject any ads that don’t meet our standards. So, why did we add more than one banner ad to the site? Because of pricing: rather than trying to sell one very expensive big ad space, we’ll have several less expensive spaces.

We really did try to keep ads off of AWT, but the stream of sponsors has dried up and our wonderful Patreon patrons have been keeping us barely afloat. With your help in supporting our advertisers, we can continue into the future as a fiscally strong entity.
