A look at SwitchEasy’s cases for the iPhone 13

For several days, I’ve been testing some of the SwitchEasy cases for my new iPhone 13 Pro Max. Instead of doing a lengthy review of each, following is a round-up of mini-critiques.

SwitchEasy MagCrush

This is my favorite of the SwitchEasy cases I tested, mainly because its MagSafe compatible. The MagCrush provides shockproof bumper that provides military grade protection (MIL-STD-810H drop-tested protection). It has an interesting AirBarrier design with a small gap between the iPhone’s glass back and the case itself.

This strengthens the durability and prevents watermarks. Also, th MagCrush has “High optical transmittance,” which allows the beauty of the smartphone to shine through.

Apple World Today Rating (out of 5 stars): ★★★★★

SwitchEasy ALOS

My second favorite SwitchEasy case (pictured below) is the $29.99 ALOS, a anti-microbial shockproof clear case. It also allows the beauty of the iPhone to be seen, but it’s not MagSafe compatible.

The ALOS has the protective features of the MagCrush and is made of hard TPU and soft PC composite materials. The result is a comfortable grip, anti-scratch and shockproof protection.

What’ makes the ALOS unique is its incorporation of antimicrobial Technology. According to the folks at SwitchEasy, the case is certificated with ISO 22196 antimicrobial standard by SGS, reduce 99% bacteria.

SwitchEasy Odyssey

This US$39.99 case is bulky, but seems like it would offer additional protection for vigorous outdoor activity. It has two spots to clip in a carabiner (included) so you can attach to a hiking bag or backpack. It does include a 3-in-1 lanyard.

Apple World Today Rating (out of 5 stars): ★★★★

SwitchEasy Aero +

This $29.99 case has a medium thickness. It’s not super thin, but also not very bulky.  It seems very durable and should provide some drop protection. Using this case, the phone sits level on a surface as it is just thicker than the camera bump on the back of the phone. The buttons push very easily.

SwitchEasy MagCrush

This case has a medium thickness.  It’s not super thin, but also not very bulky.  It is completely clear so the iPhone shows through the case.  It seems very durable and should provide some drop protection.  Using this case, the phone sits level on a surface as it is just thicker than the camera bump on the back of the phone.  The volume buttons push very easily. However, there is a cut out for the power button, so you have to push a finger through the case to hit the iPhone power button.  It does creak a bit, probably due to the intentional AirBarrier around the phone.

Apple World Today Rating (out of 5 stars): ★★★
