Apple’s renovation of older Apple retail outlets continues at a fast pace, and this weekend will see the reopening of four US stores with the new Jony Ive/Angela Ahrendts design.
The stores in question are the Brea Mall in Brea, California; Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton, California, Clarendon in Arlington, Virginia; and Arrowhead Towne Center in Glendale, Arizona. Three of the four — all except Clarendon — are moving to new and larger locations in each mall. Clarendon was in the most need of a refresh, as it had not changed in exterior looks since it first opened in 2001. All four locations will reopen at 10 AM local time on September 24.
In other Apple retail news, a new Birmingham, UK store is opening at 9 AM local time on Saturday. The new facility replaces the Bullring Shopping Center location (image above) that opened in 2005, and is located in a six-story building vacated by book reseller Waterstones at 128 New Street. Another US Apple location, the Pentagon City store in Arlington, Virginia, will close on September 25 for planned renovations.
